davidDavid Post, conductor of Bellingham Children's Choir, recently moved to Bellingham from his hometown of Ukiah, California, which is two hours north of San Francisco. He holds a Bachelors degree in music education from U.O.P. Conservatory of Music and a Masters degree in choral conducting from Northern Arizona University, as well as a professional clear California teaching credential in k-12 instrumental and vocal music. He started directing choirs at a Santa Cruz church in 1983, and has been teaching at the elementary through college level since then.

Career highlights include being the Chair of Repertoire and Standards for Middle School Vocal Music, State of California Choral Conductors Association, head judge of music festivals for the California Music Educators Association, conductor and commissioned composer for the C.M.E.A. Bay Section conference choir, rehearsal accompanist for Dance Theater of Harlem, choral transcriber/rehearsal conductor for the Disney Channel's "Kenny Loggins; Coming Home" special, songwriter of the #1 R & B song on mp3.com, "The Power of a Dream", and composer of the musical score for the film "Tokyo Equinox", which was featured at the International Asian Film Festival. Mr. Post's choirs have performed in a combined concert at Carnegie Hall, sung our national anthem for the San Francisco Giants and performed at Disneyland and Disneyworld.

David is thrilled to be here in Bellingham. His hobbies include playing basketball, taking care of his dog Rudy, cooking and enjoying nature.
